I grew up in Southern California — skateboarding as my main transportation and arriving at the beach as my default setting. At 14, I was hit by a car while skating home from school. My right hip and shoulder took the worst of it, and I still carry the scars on my head today.
Even after months of physical therapy, much of my body stayed frozen. Life hurt — to move, to laugh, to imagine doing the things I loved again. What followed was 20+ years of obsessive learning: every method, every modality, every piece of specialized equipment I could get my hands on, I wanted to know if it helped, and why.
Today, I stand tall with all my scars and say with confidence to my clients: you can get better. Not through pure willpower, but gentle awareness. There is a way back — it doesn't look the same for everyone, and it isn't a linear path.
My work is to help you learn what your aches and pains are trying to tell you — to teach you the complicated chain reaction happening in your movement pattern, and to develop a strategy so you understand how to help yourself, no matter what changes along the way.
I'm a genuine anatomy nerd. I will draw you a skeleton. I will explain the fascial chain. I will get excited about your hip flexors in a way that might alarm you. That depth of attention is the whole point.
